Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/3 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For Serving

  • Pita bread
  • Tzatziki sauce

Directions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

2. Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, egg, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion, dill, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.

3. Form the Meatballs

Lightly spray a baking sheet with olive oil spray. Roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake

Bake for approximately 20–23 minutes, or until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F and are lightly golden on the outside.

5. Serve

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve in warm pita bread with plenty of tzatziki sauce.

Enjoy!

Tips

  • For even more Mediterranean flavor, add chopped parsley or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
  • These meatballs also pair well with rice, Greek salad, or roasted vegetables.
  • Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and make an excellent lunch.
