EGO POWER+ 615 CFM Leaf Blower (LB6151) Review: The Best Upgrade I Made Over Gas

I bought the EGO POWER+ 615 CFM cordless leaf blower (model LB6151) to replace my old gas Ryobi, and it's every bit as good as my EGO string trimmer. Here's my honest review after 11 months of regular use.

Why I Switched From Gas

My gas-powered Ryobi blower was a pain from the start:

  • Hard to start
  • Needed gas mixed with oil
  • Burned through fuel quickly
  • Really loud
  • Eventually broke and wouldn't start at all

Power and Ease of Use

The EGO starts with the push of a button, and the adjustable power settings make it easy to dial in the right amount of force for the job. There's plenty of power. Our yard and driveway get a ton of leaves from oak trees, magnolia trees, and bamboo, and I've never needed more.

Battery Life

The battery lasts a long time. Even with daily use blowing off the pool deck to keep oak and bamboo leaves out of the pool, I only charge it once a month or less. The kit comes with a 56V 2.5Ah battery and charger, and the battery works with 100+ other EGO tools. I also have the EGO String Trimmer and can use it's battery while the other charges if needed. More Than Just Leaves

Besides yard cleanup, I use it for:

  • Keeping the pool deck clear of leaves
  • Blowing charcoal ash off the grill area
  • Clearing debris off outdoor tables
  • Blowing across the pool to splash the kids (they love it)

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Easy push-button start, no gas or oil mixing
  • Adjustable power levels
  • Plenty of power for oak, magnolia, and bamboo leaves
  • Battery lasts a month or more between charges, even with daily use
  • Much quieter than gas
  • Battery and charger included, and the battery fits 100+ EGO tools

Cons

  • The charger can be finicky, usually because the battery needs to cool down before it will charge

Verdict

I highly recommend it. If you're still fighting a gas blower, this is an easy upgrade.

5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pair it with my EGO string trimmer review, since the batteries work across both tools.

Blackened Shrimp Gochujang Noodles 🛒Check for Today's Price on Amazon Why I Bought It One of the biggest reasons I chose the Tramontina Signature Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware Set is that it doesn't use a traditional nonstick coating. The cooking surface is simply stainless steel, so there's no coating to scratch, chip, or wear away over time. I wanted a quality stainless steel cookware set without paying All-Clad prices. Since I was starting a food blog and spending much more time in the kitchen, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to upgrade our cookware. Our previous "nonstick" cookware had reached the point where it wasn't nonstick at all. Scrambled eggs were especially frustrating, often sticking to the pan and making cleanup a chore. Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta What's Included The Tramontina Signature Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 8-Piece Cookware Set includes: 8-inch Fry Pan 10-inch Fry Pan 2-Quart Covered Saucepan 3-Quart Covered Saucepan...
