Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)
- or 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil(or melted butter), garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (or fresh parsley), salt, and black pepper.
- Let the mixture rest for 5–10 minutes so the garlic infuses the olive oil with flavor.
- As soon as your pizza comes off the grill or out of the oven, use a pastry brush to generously coat the outer crust with the garlic Parmesan mixture.
- For even more flavor, sprinkle on additional grated Parmesan and fresh parsley before serving.
Tips
- This garlic Parmesan crust brush is delicious on homemade pizza, breadsticks, garlic knots, and cheesy bread.
- For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan and fresh garlic instead of pre-minced garlic.
- Brush the crust while it's still hot so the oil soaks in and the Parmesan lightly melts.
